Roy Marshall
Guitars/Vocals
(OYSTER)
Roy Marshall was born Nov. 10 1959 in Groves TX. My family pretty much all could play something. So I grew up
with all that kind of energy around. From country to early rock to gospel we had it all. Sometime in my young life, I
can't really recall when, I knew music was it. I remember going to hear my Dad play the honky tonks an that was all it
took. I started playing in bands at about 14, boy's and girl's we played everything. In a family that moves a lot you get
to meet a lot of really good talent. When we moved to Wainright OK. I got my first taste of the "Hag" for those of you
who are geographically inclined would understand why. Onward north we pushed and landed in northwest AR. This is
where it all started to get crazy. (enter beer to the equation yee haa). I played a few years with some guy's that I feel I
have to mention Ricky Boyett an "AJ" Rupp, these guy's brought me back to country. Then after a tour in the Air
Force, I wound up working in Saudia as a contractor. An would u believe the music seen was awesome, any night of
the week you could find someone jamming to something, and yes we spread country all over that place. (more beer).
After my return in 98 I was looking to unload some gear. A friend of mine say's hey I know a guy who's looking to buy
some, enter Son, he told me yea that's a nice amp but I ain't gonna buy it cuz your going to need it. I've pretty much
played for him ever since.
